About Dr Asif Malik Humayun

Dr Asif Malik Humayun is a Consultant Physician in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine with a strong record in clinical leadership, service redesign, private practice, education and research. His current work spans complex diabetes, endocrine disorders, diabetes technology, obesity and metabolic medicine, and multidisciplinary service development across NHS and independent sector settings.

As Clinical Lead for Diabetes and Endocrinology at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Clinical Lead for the Milton Keynes Integrated Diabetes Service, Dr Humayun has led service transformation for a large population with diabetes, strengthened MDT governance, improved access to specialist care, and supported primary care clinicians through education, joint clinics and virtual advice models.

He has a particular interest in obesity and metabolic medicine, diabetes technology, thyroid disease, reproductive endocrinology and male hypogonadism. His academic activity includes peer-reviewed publications, invited national and international lectures, and principal investigator roles in clinical trials including SIRONA, ACTIVATE, UK-EDI, DRoPLeT and Start Right.

Dr Humayun sees patients at several leading private hospitals including Cromwell Hospital in Kensington, London, the Saxon Clinic in Milton Keynes, Three Shires Hospital in Northampton, One Hatfield Hospital, and Mayo Clinic London. He also offers secure video consultations for patients across the UK and internationally.

OCEAN(a)-PreEvent

SIRONA First-in-Human
